How can i make sex feel better for me this time?

I'm having sex for the second time this week, im 18 and the first time i had it was in February last year, i wasnt emotionally ready for it but my curiosity got the best of me and it hurt sooo bad. I regretted it, but how can I make it feel better this time? I know I'm ready.

The most important thing is not to rush it - be sure to spend plenty of time on other activities before you try vaginal entry (cuddling, making out, manual / oral sex, etc.). The biggest reason that women experience pain or discomfort from penetrative sex is because they're not aroused & wet enough yet. Sometimes it takes longer than some women think.

Second, be sure to talk to your partner before and during sex. He should know your history, and that you're a bit nervous. That way he can be sure to go slowly & check in with you (which, if he's a good partner, he should be doing anyway). It's also important that you communicate with him about what feels good and what doesn't, or what you think might feel better.

Third, be sure you're in a situation where you can be totally relaxed and comfortable. When we're tense or stressed for any reason, that can make it difficult for our vaginal muscles to relax, which can be another source of pain or discomfort. Some of this is a bit unavoidable the first few times, but as long as you're not worried about anything (privacy, being rushed, pregnancy / sti risks, etc.), you shouldn't have more than a very slight bit of discomfort.

Finally, get some high quality lube like Astroglide or Liquid Silk, and don't be shy about using it! It can be a big helper when you're still getting used to vaginal penetration.
